bad block replacement

Does the XP12000 have bad block replacement built into it? If so, is it on by default and can it be turned off(not that I'd want to).

In the past the "bad block relocation" was done by the host using a volume manager on plain disks.

All modern arrays will handle this internaly, totally invisible to the host.
This means the array will turn the disk from good to bad status if a certain (built-in) threshold is reached.

Thanks...Just wanted to make sure. The support group has LVs created with host bad block replacement enabled. I will notify them that this should be disabled at the host to prevent possible data corruption. Appreciate the response.
