Hi All,

I have HP array Model 30 and whant to bind one of the disks as standalone disk under separate LUN. Grid manager doesn't allow me to do that. How I can get it?

Sorry for stupid question...

Re: binding of standalone disk

Igor,
this options is not supported because RAID 0 does not provide data redundancy. Anthough, in field engineering mode, this option is available. See http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x696e7e990647d4118fee0090279cd0f9,00.html , reply by Anthony deRito

Re: binding of standalone disk

You need to be in FE mode. (Field Engineer)

Ctrl-P shift fe on the presentation screen of gridmanager.

You will see a reverse FE in the top right of the gridmgr presentation.

Then in the lun bin options you'll have the possibility to bind standalone.

Note that you must get out of FE mode via:
Ctrl-P shift user
or you can end up with SP panics.

Later,
Bill
It works for me (tm)
