Do you have a VA or XP disk array? This is probably the command view SNMP daemon which I believe is as a client session to a windows PC. So check your Command View Windows management station for active sessions.
But if no active session then consider the SNMP communications. Since SNMP is the source IP protocol for command view and can also be reporting to other SNMP monitoring agents like NNM, Tivoli, etc. As well as the resource monitor PRM. PRM, if you have it, collects I/O activity on your LUNS in a similar way as MeasureWare or Glance. Just like NNM or Tivoli.
Resource monitors are collecting every 5, 10 or 15 minutes.
Do you have 'lsof'. If so then run this command:
lsof -p pid (* where pid is for cmdvwagt *).
