does initializing an msa1000 disk format the disk? windows server 2003
hi expert
i have an msa1000 where the active controller is down so i have moved to the redundant controller but the server couldn't see the volumes as the fc switch related to the redundant don't have any configuration so i have configured zoning on the switch related to the redundant controller now the server is able to see the msa1000 but when i log in windows server 2003 and i go to disk management the msa1000 disks appears as uninitialized my question is
if i initialize the disk will i loose my data? or i will be able to access it normally? please advice
thanks in advance
