need some advice on the enware problem.
My problem is that when i login to hpux 11.00 server via xterminal and telnet to hpux 11i ( this is where the application runs), I can't run my application properly. the colour, folders name all not displayed properly.
But, if i bypass the CDE login and telnet to hpux11i server, i can run the application without problem.
I bypass the CDE by removing $HOME./Xsession file.
Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance

Solutionobviously I will be abel to get a better idea if able to duplicate thsi behaviour, however from your description it might be the Xsession file being a culprit here, however it might not as well, thus to help eliminate thsi possibilities could you get a copy of this Xsession file from another system running the same configuration, and ftp/rcp over to this system.
see how you goes, do keep me posted in this
last but not least itmight worth yoour while to patch your system with CDE, X motif, and its dependencies patches.
Hope the abvoe give you some idea.
cheers...

Re: enware B.07.11 CDE
Just wonder if setting DISPLAY will be of help?
At SystemA try to telnet to SystemB and get GUI:
on SystemA :
# xhost +
# telnet SystemB
on SystemB :
# export DISPLAY=SystemA:0.0
# sam
Hope it helps.

Re: enware B.07.11 CDE
Do you have this patch installed?
PHSS_21692 s700_800 11.00 HP ENWARE B.07.11.00PL02 06/2000
Assuming he is running HPUX 11.00, furthermore there is no Enware software available for 11.11. The last released versions of Enware 7.X and Netstation 9.X software are supplied on 11.0 hp-ux.
You might want to check this as well before proceeding further.
If you are getting further issue with the application you might want to verify the error in these files:
$HOME/.dt/errorlog and Xerror
and look for any warnings or errors related to fonts, display etc
cheers...

Re: enware B.07.11 CDE
The Xsession script normally will execute a $HOME/.xsession if it exists, otherwise, it will fallback to a sys.xsession (same dir as
above) or as a last resort, just an xterm window.
