eva-4000 and virtual disk presentation on linux-host.
Good afternoon!
Could anyone, please, explain me the problem?
I've created a virtual disc on EVA-4000 and assigned it to a linux-host. However, from the host side it looks like 2 different discs, that we can mount on our system. (LUN is the same, but ID is different). Of course, there is no difference, which disk will we mount, because psychically it will be the same disk.
My question is: why the system recognizes this virtual disk as 2 separate disks? Do controllers play any role in this situation?

You need to make sure that you have installed the HP branded driver. By default, it should enable multipathing.

Koch,
You need to have this handy guide with you. Page 9 onwards tells you where to get the drivers and how to install.
