Re: eva not recognize on windows disk management

Hi,

You wouldn't expect to see the EVA in disk management, only the presented Vdisks.

Have you actually created Vdisks on the EVA and presented them to your host ?

Hope this helps,

Hi, and did you try with rescan disks?, or do you have hbanyware or sansurfer to see if the HBA's are linking with disks.

Re: eva not recognize on windows disk management

Hello.

Try to check options like
- are your SAN zoned in right way? You have to see in device manager RAID controller EVA4000/6000/8000
- is the hosts in EVA created as Windows host?
- did you type right WWN to windows host in EVA?

Re: eva not recognize on windows disk management

While creating VDISK what was the OS Type selection? Ensure that WinNT is selected for Windows.

Thanks

Re: eva not recognize on windows disk management

One more thing you should check is that the vdisk isn't in a "write protected state"

I had that once and couldnt figure out why i couldnt get the thing working :)
