Re: how to create a new LUN on xp12000 to be recognized by hpux host?
SVP is for HP but you could do it with CommandView
1 - from CV, select your array
2 - Choose Lun Management and Add path
3 - select port/scsi id /lun
4 - select the CU and the LDEV Id
5 - click set and add to confirm
for svp/remote it's quite the same, you had to go to Lun Management, next add scsi path, after that you could select port/scsi id /lun and the CU LDEV.

Re: how to create a new LUN on xp12000 to be recognized by hpux host?
Otherwise, follow the procedure that smatodor had with a few other items. You'll need to be in "modify mode" by clicking on the picture of a pen in the upper right hand corner of the interface. Also if this is a new host to the XP, you'll need to create a host group with the pWWN of the host.
This procedure can be somewhat complex, and if your not sure what you're doing you may want to consider getting an XP consultant to give you some assistance.
Good luck,
Curt

Re: how to create a new LUN on xp12000 to be recognized by hpux host?
1) I will read LUN mananger of command view.
2) ports need to be changed, so some LUNs need to change their Ports?
3) how can I find the unused B4 in what manual of SVP ?
where can I bind the B4 into raid Group?

Re: how to create a new LUN on xp12000 to be recognized by hpux host?
3) how can I find the unused B4 in what manual of SVP? - Not sure what you mean here. The "building blocks" of the XP are a called an Array Group (aka RAID Group, Parity Group, ECC Group). This is 4 HDDS. A grouping of Array Groups is a B4. It is determined by physical location with the array and is not changable.
Where can I bind the B4 into raid group? You can't - see above.
Hope this helps,
Curt
