There's a new msa2312fc.
How can I tell whether it's a G2 or an old one from either the Web interface or ssh.

Re: how to tell if have msa2000 g2
The G2 manual says that I should be able to right-click the Array in the Config View and select tools/update firmware.
But when I right-click the array, "tools" has NO "update firmware" option.
So, that's what led me to believe that it might not be a G2.

Re: how to tell if have msa2000 g2
I ended up with 2 Qs in one post ;>)
=============
1) G2 ?
=============
It would be nice if the interface somehow mentioned that is is a G2.
I guess the only thing to go by is the completely new interface.
here's the difference in the telnet "version" command
between the new G2 and an old MSA2000i

!!!
not much to go by, except that the old output is prettier!
!!!
=============
2) firmware ?
=============
It's weird that the manual mentions the firmware update,
yet it is not to be found in actuality.
Oh, well.

Re: how to tell if have msa2000 g2
I updated the firmware via ftp and, as expected, now the GUI has the "Update Firmware" option.
