migrate from raid 0 to raid0+1, lose data on raid0??

I have 2 arrays

1 array was 1 drive raid0
I added 1 drive to the array (taked 1 1/2 day)
the new drive is now shown as unused space

I want to make it raid 0+1:
When i click the array i can now migrate it to raid 0+1. so far so good.
My question is: when i click save, do i lose the data from the privious raid0 drive??

Tanks!

hi,

in general no, but can you post up details of the storage and management software in use here so it can be confirmed.

It is a HP server running SBS 2003 R2
I am using HP Array Configuration Utility 7.70.12.0

Is this enough info?

hi, I have done this using a dl380 with a single disk, added a second, expanded it then migrated to raid 1 and it worked fine. this server was built using ACU 7.x can't remember the exact version but the controller is a smart array 5i I think. Since this was the windows boot drive you should be ok.
