Question is: how can we migrate from CV EVA 5 to CV EVA 9.01, is this possible with one step ?

SolutionAnother complication is that you'll need to request/migrate the licenses for that EVA5000 to the new format used by Command View 7, 8 and 9. Contact your sales representative for that.
Once that is done, Command View will discover the EVA and load all the information from it. B├Г┬бsically just uninstall one Command View version and install the other.

The two conditions you described are fulfilled.
Do I have to copy the hpevasan directory from the SMA to the new machine and then take ownership and that's it.
Will it be so simple.
