moving array to new server

current setup - proliant 5500r attached via smart 2dh controller to 2 storage U1's filled with 36gb drives raid 5 nt4.
we want to move the controller and array to a dl380g2 and upgrade to 2000. What are the correct steps for this move? will the data be recognized on the drives?

Hi, I am in similar situation, any advise from Compaq if the RAID configured on the External Array Storage able to be retained after moving to new server.
