mscs in workgroup environment?

Can MS cluster win2k adv server work in workgroup environment? i was told not. Is there any supporting documents in the microsoft or HP web site ?

No, domain account for ms cluster service is prerequisite. You can use Active directory domain, or nt4.0 domain if you did not upgrade your domain controllers.
Once I tried to "emulate" this using same accounts on both nodes with the same password (for nt 4.0 cluster). At first it seemed to work but later led to problems.

Why not make one of the servers in the cluster the PDC?
No matter where you go, there you are.

Hi, i heard of that too..but then i cant find any supporting documentation from the microsoft web site. Anyone have the docementation or know where is the web site?

I do not understand which documentation you mean. If it is Microsoft support documentation for MSCS you can go to: support.microsoft.com, select Windows2000 and search for "cluster".
