nas2000s OS Update
We have a NAS2000s with Windows Storage Server 2003. I want to update the OS.
As it is a special version of Windows 2003 server i don't think that i can use the normal updates.
So i've searched the HP Site and found a Service Release 6.2.
In the installation notes I read something that as prerequisite Service Release 5.6 is required. But I cannot download this release.
The main question is:
What do I have to do to update a nas2000s ?

Why do it difficult when it can be done easy

Re: nas2000s OS Update
Hi,
I don't think you can download the Service Releases, but you can order the 5.6 and 6.2 DVDs for free here:

Do not install the normal Windows 2003 Service Pack 1! I've seen numerous threads where the server will no longer boot after applying it. You should use the Service Release DVDs. I think 5.6 has W2K3-SP1 included.
Regards,
Stephen

Re: nas2000s OS Update
Thanks for your answer,
I've had this answer from HP too and the CD's are send.
First they didn't want to help me that's why I've asked the forum.
I'll dedicate some points too you.
Harrie
