need zoning and lun masking to assign eva3000 vdisks to hosts?

Based on what I understand EVA3000 so far, in order to assing new vdisks to hosts, everything could be done in Command View EVA, including creating vdisk, assign it to the host, I don't need to do anything on the switch side for zoning, or lun masking which I remember I would have to do when we dealt with EMC storage.

Is that true, all could be done in Command View EVA? and why don't I have to do zoning and lun masking?

Thanks,

You will still be required to zone your host to the EVA. After that you would be able to configure the host on the EVA and create and assign vdisks.
