powerpath upgrade
Hi Admins,
I want to upgrade the powerpath version from 5.0 to 5.1 .I have obtained the software from EMC.Please tell me how to upgrade the same.When i list the folder using swlist i can see files present.
UAEMFQDDCBAPD01:/var/powerpath_patch/powerpath/powerpath5.1>swlist -s /var/powerpath_patch/powerpath/powerpath5.1

Re: powerpath upgrade
EMC software uses their own installation system. You cannot install PowerPath with just swinstall: you have to follow EMC's installation instructions.
The installation procedure will do some pre-processing on the Powerpath files, then automatically run the necessary swinstall job for you.
The instructions are available in the documentation section of EMC's Powerlink website:
