"Hot Spare Unavailable, Physical Drive Problem" in 12H...

I have SureStore E DiskArray 12H, this messages is writing to LCD: "Disk B6 Failed, System Warning".
in SAM "View Array Status Information" is writing on "Warnings" section: "Hot Spare Unavailable, Physical Drive Problem".
The led of B6 disk is orange lighting...
this error messages to look on the console:
"Active Hot Spare warning on /dev/c4t0d0
Unallocated space is too small for active hot spare. Disk in B6..."
is that mean this B6 disk is dead? what can i do? ???

Hi Mezi,
Run
armdsp -d
And find all the disk(s) status.
If you already assigned hotspare, may be the hot spare is used to rebuild the array. So now you lost the hotspare. Is all your disks are same size?
If the disk failed, simply replace the disk once you ensure the rebuild is complete. Then the array will do the balancing. After balancing you should get back your hotspare.

Hi

This is the situation where you realise benefit of AutoRAID storage system. Failure on a disk module has no impact on your operation. Just replace failed disk B6 with exactly same specs and thereafter your storage will build up. You may face performance issues till the build up is completed.
