"autopath delete <device file> not working

I have quite a few lun's which are not used. they are already gone from ioscan. However, still in the output of autopath display all, and showing failed.

I used to command "autopath delete /dev/dsk/cxtydz" to remove them, but could not.

I already run "autopath discover"

securepath sp3 on 11.23 itanium

Thanks,

Re: "autopath delete <device file> not working

I tried, but I got "AUTOPATH: device busy " message back.

I used sar -d to check, it doesn't seem any i/o activities.

I am in the same situation.

How did you get rid of the lun's?

Re: "autopath delete <device file> not working

what is the status of the device files in the ioscan.

I think a reboot should solve the issue. If the luns were not unmounted before the actual Luns were deleted off the storage you might run in this scenario.

The autopath would still think that the device is present and would not allow to delete the entries would recieve a msg "device busy"
