raid 5 OR 0+1 ??

Can somebody help me out? I?m looking at an additional ML370, with a 3200 array controller. The server will be NT4, an used for PeopleSoft accounts package. The DBA in accounts is adamant that it must RAID 0+1 using four drives. I would rather use 3 drives in RAID 5. I have my reasons for my decision, being along the lines of the potential use of online spares, easily expandable, higher total logical drive space over the 6 physical drives. However, I am of the understanding that the application is high on write, (about 5 to 1) which would lead to RAID 0+1. So, basically, what I?m looking for is some sort of performance statistics comparing the two solutions, and possibly arguments for and against each configuration.

Any input will be much appreciated,
