removing a device from symmetrix device group

Hello Admins,

How can i remove a device from a symmetrix device group?

i would like to add it to a new group and i get the error that the device is already in use

symld -g add dev 301

Symmetrix device 301 is already a member of device
group ''.

I can see the device in

symrdf -g oldgroup query.

What command can be used to remove the device group ?
