repartitioning Smart Array 641

I've got a Smart Array 641 controller on a Proliant ML330 G3. My OS partition ran out of room and my data drive has extra room. Is there a utility to repartition without destroying the OS drive? I've got the HP SmartStart utility I originally used to set up the server, but as I recall, that will wipe out all existing data. Is there a way to adjust the partitions?

Re: repartitioning Smart Array 641

hi PC Brian

you need a third party software to extend the OS partition (C:) it's the only way

like for example

Acronis PartitionExpert 2003
http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/partitionexpert/index.html

Hard Disk Manager 8.5
Server Edition
http://www.paragon-software.com/hdm/corporate/server/features.htm

EASEUS Partition Manager V1.6.2

Re: repartitioning Smart Array 641

Thank you, It took a while to get the job done. I sucessfully adjusted the partitions with your suggestion. I went with Paragon's Hard Disk Manager 8.5 Server Edition. I also picked up a bundle of the disk manager software for some desktops. Works really nice. Thanks again.

The solution is in this discussion thread. Problem solved. One of the partition sofware titles worked.
