replacing a raid 5 failure disk
Hi folks,
How do i replace a failure disk on my storage. I have a raid 5 with 3 HDDs and one is failing. So I removed it and inserted a brand new HDD of the same size and specs.
After rebooting the Smart Array 6400 did not claimed the new disk, now the system is running just with 2 of 3 disk.
The server is HP DL 380 G5 running Oracle Linux;
The start up disk i used was the HP 8.60 and i cound´t see the RAID configuration i just succeed accessint the raid via pressing the S during the boot time so there it didn´t gave me lot of option like joint the new disk to the raid.
Please help.

Re: replacing a raid 5 failure disk
hi,
Where are installed the drives - in external storage attached to the server or they are in the server?
Can You please attach an ACU report here?
Thanks
regards,
