rlogin/remsh
I have a HP-UX server where I can ssh to the machine from any other hp-ux box, however when I try to do a rlogin/remsh to this machine, I get a "lost connection" immediately. I have these other machines in the .rhosts file and I have checked the /etc/inetd.conf file for rlogin and remsh lines and they are not commented out. Other HP-UX machines here work without a hosts.equiv file but this machine I just can't figure out. Has someone had this issue before?

Re: rlogin/remsh
Hi Greg,
I have the same problem, but only between itanium machine and pa-risc machine.
I have problem from itanium to pa-risc, but not the problem from pa-risc to itanium.
The config file seems correct.
do you resolv your problem? and if yes, how?

Re: rlogin/remsh
Greg,
i resolv my problem...
In fact, on pa-risc machine, i have filtering access through remsh/telnet/rlogin command by using /var/adm/inetd.sec.
I must add IP adress of itanium machine.
Now it works correctly.
I hope your problem is resolved also.
Regards.
David.
