rp4440 with Hitachi Thunder 9570V Disk Array

I've just installed an rp4440 with an Hitachi 9570V 1TB disk array. The Hitachi has been configured by an engineer who's now gone on vacation. He assures me that the array has been configured correctly and although the array appears in an ioscan, I can't connect to it. I've installed the "Hitachi Resource Manager" and "Veritas Volume Manager" neither of which see the array.

Any idea how I can connect to the array ?

The HDS should be also attached to an IP network. Resource Manager accesses it that way.

Get Reource Manager (also called DAMP - disk array management program) installed on a windows system - hopefully someone has written doen the IP address assigned to the 9570V - you can then view it through DAMP, and check the config - it may be that no disk has been presented to the HP box.
