stopped amirdmon, will I still see failed drive messages?
Running SCO Openserver 5.0.6 on e800 with netraid adapter. Have 3 drives in raid level 5. Because the raid monitoring program (amirdmon) causes a huge performance drop, I have stopped it. My question is: Without amirdmon running, will I see any type of warning message if a drive fails?

Re: stopped amirdmon, will I still see failed drive messages?
hi
I didn't know the response, but if your netraid card have it, you can enable allarm, if a drive go offline, you will heard a continus beep until the hdd is replaced and the raid rebuilded.
you can enable it in Ctrl M bios utility or starting Megamgr under sco
bye
