unable to create pairs for few volumes in business copy of xp24k

We are unable to create pairs for few volumes although we have free LDEVs present in xp24k storage. I am able to create pairs for P-VOL above 50 GB but not below that because it is not listing at all the free volumes present in storage for some strange reason. If I have a P-VOL of 50 GB and try to create a pair for that it is not showing me the list of free vols present in that storage. can anyone quickly help me in this please. Thanks in advance..

XP can not create BC pairs on free area,

you have to first create new volumes in exactly same block size with your pvol and then you can create your pair using these two exactly same sized volumes having one as P-VOL and the new one as S-VOL
