unassigning logical drives

Is it possible to unassign logical drives from an array??

What is the array and what management software are you using?

not sure what you mean by "what array" but i'm using an MSA1000 controller, array A and the sofware is the compaq config utility...hope that's enough info....thanks

Hi John;

Yes, you can delete a logical drive from an array.

This action would be data-destructive, and would not allow you to physically remove a hard drive from the RAID5 set.
