under rebuild
Hi,
Jusy curious when my RAID(ADG) is under rebuild and in this moment of rebuilding, do I still have another HDD failure protection?
TIA,
Ken

Re: under rebuild
Ken:
Since RAID ADG can withstand the failure of 2 HDD's and still process data at a reduced capacity, you should be safe if you lost 1 disk during a re-build. If you lost 2 disks during the process, then you would lose everything. (Unless of course the second disk was the disk that was rebuilding).
Of course, if you are re-building from a 2 disk failure, then losing 1 disk during the rebuild might be catastrophic as well.
