This is great, information, thanks.

Now if our EVA customers have the older EVA 8000 model with the 2Gbps host ports, is the upgrade/retrofit option available from HP free of charge as part of the maintenance support agreement?

Any reason other than availability for 4g backend switches? Aren't all the disk drives still 2g? Are the hsv2xx-a controller backend ports 4g?
Can you imagine if we used PCs to manage our enterprise systems? ... oops.
