va7100

Hi,
I have a va7100 with 6 disks 0+1, in this moment all disks are ok, but some time, one disk come in failed and I have to remove it and put it back again, then it works fine.
Can I remove it when the va7100 is working fine with all disks?
thanks in advance
ivo

Re: va7100

Depends on VA settings. Attach 'armdsp -a' and 'armlog -e' outputs zipped to your next reply

Re: va7100

Yes you can.
Just fail the disk from Command View r with the armcfg command.
When it turns yellow you can remove it.
Be aware, that data has to be relocated by doing this. The time it takes depends on the amout of allocated space.

Cheers

Hi

Yes, You can do, but always you take out a working disk, there is a risk of damage the disk.
The VA put on fail that disk.
