vgexport/vgimport with lost lvols

I tried the vgexport and vgimport on my lost lvol's. They now show up but I'm unable to mount them. These were part of a SureStore 8 Disk array and the mount doesn't show the data even though they were in the /etc/fstab file. I believe the problem is how these lvols and the 8 disks were originally set up.

I'm still trying to see this data correctly, any help ???

when it exports and imports a volume group, you must recreate the file system. after you can carry out the manual operations of mount or inserting the strings in /etc/lvmtab

Try "mountall" or "mount -a". If you get errors, post them here. Otherwise, do "bdf" to verify they are mounted.

Question: Did you use a mapfile when exporting/importing? If not, the logical volumes will be named lvol1 - lvoln. If the volume group was not set up that way, you will need to change /etc/fstab to relfect the new names, then redo the "mountall".
