what raid controller for PL6500

Hi and thank you for taking the time to read!
I have a proliant PL6500 with 7 18.4 U160 scsi drives. They are currently set up on the SA3200 raid controller. I'm looking to upgrade the controller to a U160 or ULTRA3. Anyone have any advice for specific models i should be shopping for? I would like to use an adaptec card if possible as i can find them for considerably cheaper than a SA5300 series card. However i do want something that will work well in this system so if i have to spend more then so be it.
