windows 2003 64 bit driver

i am looking for windows 2003 enterprise 64 bit driver for smart array controller, generation one, not generation two, any recommendations?

in windows i can see the controller show up as 'unknown' device. i am able to download the smart array G2 drivers, which of course do not recognize the G1 unit

Hi, let me make a guess and suppose that you are talking about an MSA500. You do not really need a driver for the MSA controller, just for the Smart Array HBA it's connected to.

Have you installed the full PSP for Windows 2003 x64?

Re: windows 2003 64 bit driver

hello,

yes i am talking about the MSA 500, it was renamed the MSA 500 from the smart array controller.

i am attaching the unit to an LSI SCSI card, and not a smart array controller, do i need a smart array controller HBA?

thanks

In the MSA500 QuickSpecs, the only supported controllers are Smart Array 532 and Smart Array 5i.

Re: windows 2003 64 bit driver

will either the Smart Array 532 or Smart Array 5i work on windows 2003 64-bit enterprise server?

also, are either of these HBA's having a PCI-X interface?

Re: windows 2003 64 bit driver

The Smart Array 532 is PCI-X, the Smart Array 5i is integrated on the motherboard.

Both have driver for Windows Server 2003/2008 x64 Editions
