Convert Unix using cold clone process

hi

We would like to convert Unix SCO in our Branch abroad using cold clone process with VMware converter.
There is no ESX and we will convert into network share folder.
Howto check if the convert process was successfully?
Do we need VMware Workstation or VMware Player to test, I mean to start VM from the converted files?

Re: Convert Unix using cold clone process

What do you want to do with the result on the network share?

VMware converter is used to convert a physical machine into a virtual machine (VM) or VM into a new VM.

If you want to verify whether the VM is operational, yes, you will have to implement a VMware environment where you can power on the VM.
