IP Hash Load Balance - Virtual Connect

Just want to know whether possible or not to achieve this (Load Balance IP Hash)?

As per VC document(LACP 802.3ad, page 20), I can connect 2x uplink same VC connect to the same pSwitch.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01990371/c01990371.pdf

VC port1, bay 1 --> pSwitch1
VC port2, bay 1 --> pSwitch1
VC port1, bay 2 --> pSwitch2
VC port2, bay 2 --> pSwitch2

My current setup :-
- ESX 3.5 U5
- 2x Force 10

Thanks

Re: IP Hash Load Balance - Virtual Connect

Yes, you can configure a single uplink with:

VC port1, bay 1 --> pSwitch1
VC port2, bay 1 --> pSwitch1
VC port1, bay 2 --> pSwitch2
VC port2, bay 2 --> pSwitch2

if pSwitches supports stacking (Cisco 3750, for example) and you configure these 4 links as a single Etherchannel. VC will bring online only two links (VC1 port1-2 or VC2 port 1-2) and keep offline/standby other.

Re: IP Hash Load Balance - Virtual Connect

IP Hash requires switch assisted load balancing (802.3ad), which Virtual Connect does not support 802.3ad with server downlink ports.
