I was able to install HP agents on an ESX 3.5 server running on a DL380 G3. From the HP System Management Page I can send an SNMP trap to an HIM server; I can also send trap test with this CLI:
vicfg-snmp.pl --server --username --password --test. So SNMP is working. However I cannot find where to set notifications for hw failure. In a windows system I select Physical in Settings>SNMP Webagent>SNMP & Agent Settings>SNMP Agent Configuration as in the attached then I get alerts when a disk fails. In ESX where can I change the setting for this? Thanks.
vicfg-snmp.pl --server
