BL460C G8 with Intel i350 based Quad NIC is dropping NIC in vSphere 5.0 U1
Have a customer with c7000 and Cisco switch modules (stacked together in chassis).
Installed HP Branded vSphere 5.0 U1 (Sept 2012) to BL460cG8.
Blades have an additional Intel 366M (Quad NIC - i350 based). The Intel NICs are using the 3.2.1 driver in ESXi (the version that was included with the HP ESXi build).
We are experiencing network drops inside of ESXi on the Intel NICs. I see that there is an i350 based vSphere driver on VMwares site with driver level 3.4.7.3
Can this or should this driver be used?
Thanks,
MattG

Hello,
of course update drivers to latest level - if you check HP drivers page for your NICs it will be the same level as at VMware. Check firmware as well.

one more hint, check this great HP page for VMware: http://vibsdepot.hp.com/ - all drivers / firmware matrix at one place.
