ESXi 4 on DL585 G6 and Windows Server 2003 R2
Host System: ProLiant DL580 G5 / 24 cores
vSphere 4 Enterprise (ESXi 4)
Client OS: Windows Server 2003 R2
I am seeing a major network issue on my VM. If I map a network drive to another shared resource and tried copying a large size file, it disconnects the mapped drive during the operation and gives me "The specified network file name is no longer available" error. The shared resource is available in the same network (from a nearby physical system).
In addition, the network is giving me a terrible performance.
How do I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Neeraj

Re: ESXi 4 on DL585 G6 and Windows Server 2003 R2
We need more information about the system configuration. If you can rule out bad network cables, it could be an improper adapter (pNIC) teaming setup.
