HP ESXi ISO vs. vmware ESXi ISO?
(We don't have a SIM environment or any reason I know of to need the HP management agents preinstalled unless it gives a benefit within vCenter).
Thanks,
Paul

Re: HP ESXi ISO vs. vmware ESXi ISO?
Hi Paul,
discussion around this topic
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/ESXi/HP-or-VMware-ESXi/m-p/4558196/highlight/true#M61
However, I see few benefit choosing HP ESXi over VMware ESXi
HP has seamlessly integrated VMware ESXi, delivering active HP ProLiant management and consolidated lifecycle management for a consistent, reliable ProLiant experience.
HP CIM (Common Information Module) providers proactively surface hardware monitoring data to deliver the most up-to-date server state information possible. HP CIM providers and VMware ESXi provide active hardware management using HP SIM (Systems Insight Manager).
HP customize it to work efficiently with HP hardware.
you will be entitled to get support from HP along with your hardware if purchased as a bundle.
thanks,
Aftab

Re: HP ESXi ISO vs. vmware ESXi ISO?
as mentioned above, especially with new G7 servers you have to use HP ESXi iso becouse currently Vmware iso DOESN'T have network drivers for newest HP NIC included... Maybe in next release they will be there, but until it HP iso is the only option.
