ProLiant BL685c G7 ESXi 6
I have a ProLiant BL685c G7 and I've installed VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-Update1-3380124-HPE-600.9.4.5.11-Jan2016.iso. After the OS is installed and I added static IP's, the host reboots and I am unable to connect to it or successfully complete the network test.
I've used this same method on ProLiant BL460c G7 with no issues, this is the first BL685c G7 I've built and I am stuck with this issue.
Any help is appreciated,
GlenT

Re: ProLiant BL685c G7 ESXi 6
I know this is an old thread, but just an FYI that the 685 G7 contains a very old Network chip called the NC551i which has been discontuined to some degree for support.
There are advisories out there but the short version is you often need a very specific version of driver and firmware for it to behave.
