XP12000 Storage on vSphere 4.1

Anyone have this environment?

And did you have to reboot your server on first presentation of storage for the ESX hosts to be able to see the LUNs?

That seems to be our case. We also have another issue where the other vmhba does not see the other side of the presented LUNs... (this however is likely a hostgroup/zoneing issue).

Also what load balacing policy do you use?

Thanks!

Hello,
we use EVA for vmware enviroment. But your issue with rebooting server to see lun is very strange. Do you have all updates on vmware side and XP side? Usually rescan HBA is far enough.
Regarding multipath policy - for EVA is recomended Round Robin as it is Alua aware array. I assume XP could know Alua as well, but probably ask HP or Vmware.

It is strange indeed, we are latest and geratest on vSphere/ESXI and it seems for a New XP12K Array to be used on these environments - a reboot is always needed on first presentations... With Subsequent presentations however - only a rescan is required.
