A drive enclosure transceiver error on EVA4000

hi all,
i have EVA4000 with 4 disk enclosures and 2 controllers,
i have on the first enclosure ( bottom one)
following error :
"Event Code: 0d8d9011 Severity: Critical -- failure or failure imminent. A drive enclosure transceiver error has been detected"
and i have notice that port1 of loopA on I/O board of loopA of that enclosure is failed as seen on Command View
I replaced the I/O board but the problem persists and server (host) is not able to see disks of that enlcosure because they are inactive

Is there anyone who can help me regarding that issue?
tnx a lot

The FC transceiver is built into the copper FC cable.
So most probably your cable is broken; replace it!

I wonder why your server cannot access the EVA data, since all drives have dual loops and are redundantly connected to both controllers!

After you do the replacement, you will have to go into Command View and re-enable that port. The port will stay disabled until you tell it to turn back on.
