Adding Loop Swithes to EVA8000
Hi, I have to expand disk capacity in a EVA8000. This EVA have 4 disk selves without Loop Switches. Then I've to add loop switches and 2 disk selves. Can I add loop switches and disk selves online? What's risk level of the deployment? There's any public document to explain this process?
Other cuestion, What happend if all switch loops go down? If all disk selves become unaccesible for the controllers, all LUNs are lost?
Thanks.

Re: Adding Loop Swithes to EVA8000
It's not recommended to add loopswitch to an EVA online, but it's possible.
You should detach one loop (left or richt) install switch en reconnect everything to the switch.
Diskshelf online is always possible if you have switches in place, without then its essentially the same proces and risk when adding switches.
Its designed that it should not be possible to lose all your loopswitches at the same time. If it does happen, I guess that the array will halt IO until the switches are working again. Then cache will be flushed to the disks
