SolutionThen plug in the next disk drive and repeat.
Disk drives should be divided equally across all disk drive enclosures and there must be a minimum of 4 drives in an enclosure.
Finally go to the disk group and press [Add disk]. Add all 8 disk drives at once.

Re: Adding disk to EVA4400
I just want to highlight....you must WAIT between drives before inserting them. I've seen a few people get into troube because of impatience. Waiting the required time before inserting the next drive is a great investment.

Re: Adding disk to EVA4400
1. Switch 1
2. Switch 2
3. HSV 200 assembly
4. Enclosure 1 (with 4 empty slots bays 9,10,11,12)
5. Enclosure 2 (with 4 empty slots bays 9,10,11,12)
I understand the rule of vertical disk arrangement and considering the rule, I pressume I will be adding the disk in this manner:
1. Add to ENC1-bay 9, wait til recognized
2. Add to ENC2-bay 9, wait til recognized
3. Add to ENC1-bay 10, wait til recognized
4. Add to ENC2-bay 10, wait til recognized
5. Add to ENC1-bay 11, wait til recognized
6....
Am I getting this right?

Re: Adding disk to EVA4400
Also, you should update the disk drive firmware by running the latest online disk drive firmware bundle.
