Command View & Cluster Issues

Hi.

We have a Windows 2003 R2 Std x64 SP2 server running Command View 10.2.0.16, managing two HP EVAs. This is used by a Windows 2003 x64 SQL cluster which is using the HP EVA Extensions. We had a problem yesterday whereby our SQL cluster could not bring any resources online. Each time we tried, the CV event logs would show these type errors:

Reporting queued error: faulting application cveva.exe, version 10.1.54766.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4937, fault address 0x00021fb5.

....and the Command View service would sometimes stop too.

The cluster.log file states:

0000055c.00001360::2014/01/06-17:29:58.947 ERR  Cluster Extension EVA <Clx01>: CLX: [ERROR][1646] Failed to get critical object paths from storage management agent: CV_IP_ADDr.
0000055c.00001360::2014/01/06-17:29:58.947 ERR  Cluster Extension EVA <Clx01>: CLX: [ERROR][1145] Initialization failed.
0000055c.00001360::2014/01/06-17:29:58.947 ERR  Cluster Extension EVA <Clx01>: CLX: [ERROR][1317] Resource cannot be brought online on host cluster_machine_name.

We'd tried simply restarting CV services and CV server restarts without luck.

This morning it seems to have simply sorted itself out and now we can bring the resources up.

Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this and what remedial action we could take now to avoid a repeat?

Thanks
