I am confused about the interoperability HP C7000 with ds81000, need input from your experience...

You should give more details, e.g. what interconnects are used in the C7000 etc.

BTW, the fabric OS is very old!

First I would consider to update the switch to a more recent 7.x.x version. Then check the array for OS specific settings for the LUNs.
