EVA 3000....One port of HSV100 controller getting connection lost
Hi,
We have one EVA 3000 storage installed at one of our customer sites.
Controller: HSV 100 with firmware version 3010
HDD : 144 GB 10K RPM FC HDD with firmware version HP03.
We are getting following error message on the SAN Appliance intermittently:
“SC Event Code: 6 32 4e 13 - A HSV100 controller has detected only one port of all Fibre Channel devices on a loop.”
“SC Event Code: 9 cd c3 5 - The state of the Fibre Channel port identified in the attribute.value.str field and located on the rear panel of the HSV100 controller identified in the handle field has transitioned to the FAILED state."
Also, HDD are getting out of disk group frequently.
Could anybody from this forum advise us how to proceed to resolve this issue.
Thanks in Advance!!

Re: EVA 3000....One port of HSV100 controller getting connection lost
Apparently there is a problem at the back-end. Best is to report this problem to HP and have them work on it. If I remember correctly, VCS 3.010 went out of support by the end of last march, so a general update to the lastest level looks like a good idea, but that needs to be discussed _after_ these problems have been fixed.
There is almost nothing you can do to resolve this problem on your own - it might be a bad disk or I/O module, but even then disks should not drop from a disk group frequently.
