EVA 4400 Snapshot Can't be deleted and Unable to group disks

Hi,

We have a problem to delet a snapshot on EVA 4400, the system's error " The virtual disk is not in the right condition to perform the operation."

an other problem is impossible to group two disks indicating the folowing error"Volume Failure predicted"

Please find the attached file of both problems.

Hi,

RAPID_RAPP_DAT2_COPY_150412_0201 is a vraid0 - if it's failed you need to delete it.

Is the original volume vraid0 - maybe you need to delete that first?

Are these disks new or old? 

Can't actually say what is going on here. You may want to contact HP support to go through logs. You could heck the controller event logs after trying to delete, maybe that could say more.

The SNAPSHOT attached to this VDisk (ie RAPID_RAPP_DAT2_COPY_150412_0201) is actually presented to the server \ Hosts \ CASSRVTSM even if it is not visible from the command view, any idea to force the snapshot to be umpresented and deleted it .

Hi

You can use SSSU to force a delete of snapshot that won't delete from Command View and has presentation to a Server

Have a look at Page 77 for the option NOSAFE_DELETE

Please be aware this will delete all related options like presentation etc, so make sure you are deleting the right object first.

Alternatively contact support and have them verify the logs first :)
