EVA 6400 One controller Lost mirror port failed
Here's the picture,
We have lost controller A of our EVA 6400.
Controller B is UP and running, but the two mirror port are stated as failed. We have a second controler on hand, we try to hook it up to replace the Controller A since this one failed, but even with the new controller hooked up, the mirror port are still in the failed state on the remaining controller B!
How could I bring back up the mirror port on the remaining controller ?
We I hook all the cables and start the replaced controller, it raimains at HP EVA OCP COPYRIGHT 2008
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Re: EVA 6400 One controller Lost mirror port failed
The controller should do the POST process even without any cables connected except power.
The good controller will complain about the mirror ports until the second controller is up and running.
Did you transfer the flash card from the old to the new controller?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA 6400 One controller Lost mirror port failed
If the controller does not start POST it could be bad.
Consider to connect a serial terminal and watch the output.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
