EVA Protection Level and Displayed Available raid capacity
Hopefully a simple question for the experts out there...
When looking at the properties of a disk group as per the following image, Does the available space indicated take into account the reservation for the requested Failure protection level?
i.e. can I use the entire "available" capacity without loosing my drive failure protection level for Virtual disks that are configured with redundancy (vRaid 1 and above)? Or do I need to manually calculate the sparing capacity requirment and make sure I never allocate that capacity?
